The No So November Movement
Although this is not directly related to tennis, I want to take a little time to share about the No So November movement, and how it can help people. This movement was created by Maddie Freeman, who wants to help us all find a healthy balance with technology use. She hopes people can take a day, a week, or even a month's break from social media during November. You can join the movement and support, too!
The movement's tag is @NoSoNovember, and their website is here: NoSoNovember.org
Why not give it a try? Taking a break from tech can increase your good mental health. Technology is a powerful tool that can be used in good ways, but we also need time away from it. A balance is key!
For athletes, the internet and technology can be a really helpful resource: we can learn about different strategies for our sport, research nutritional information, and use the internet to find tournaments or tennis opportunities. But we also need a break and space away from technology to rejuvenate and relax our minds. So, I think NoSoNovember can be a great movement for athletes to try, too! The flexibility of it makes it within reach for everyone: whether you take a day, a week, or a month away from social media, you are doing your part to create a better balance with technology in this world.
